On two separate occasions, my uncle Kevin Murphy has been kind of enough to buy me dinner and share some company.
One night in June, he and I went to the appropriately named "Murphy's Pub". We both had beers, fish, and chips. Our conversation ranged from world affairs to women to the economy to life in general (and other things not be mentioned on this family blog). It was a wonderful evening.
More recently, a couple weeks ago, he and I ate at a Thai Restaurant, again in Old Town Alexandria. The menu featured, "collonas", but no "flied lice". The main topic of conversations this time were the leaking of the financial tracking program under the Bush administration, baseball, politics, and again, life in general. It was another wonderful evening.
I am very grateful he has been able to come and visit twice. I am not on the Eastern seaboard very often, and time with family members is something not to be wasted. I hope to see him again soon.
