Liz's Visit

Liz arrived on Thursday, June 15th and left Monday, June 19th. She was not here nearly long enough, but work, money, and other annoyances limit our available time to trampse around the country.

While she was here, the most exciting thing we did was ... eating. We ate at a wide variety of restaurants including Greek, Mediterranean (basically Greek), Japanese, and Thai. We also did a little shopping, watched the Italy v. USA game at a bar (make-up for shopping), toured the Capitol, went to Eastern Market, caught some rays, went to Georgetown, road the Metro a bunch, and just kicked it.

While I was at work, she went to the Natural History Museum and the Monuments.

Monday evening, she left for Sioux Falls via Minneapolis; I left for Kansas City. Both of our flights were delayed due to a thunderstorm, but they made the mistake of boarding hers and then waiting on the tarmack for an extended period of time. I just had to wait in the airport for four hours.
