Next Stop, Washington D.C.

I was recently informed that I am one of the 10 recipients of the Governor's Scholarship to the Washington Center.

I thought this part of the email was funny: "Since this project is funded by the Governor’s Office, USD nor I will be releasing this information publicly until Governor Rounds announces the decision. You may tell family and friends; however, we do encourage discretion. Please do not contact the press prior to the Governor’s announcement."

"Sorry, Mr Rather, I guess I can't tell you what I thought I could tell you. You'll just have to listen to KCCR at noon and five all next week."

The scholarship I received is a substantial stipend to help cover the expenses of the program and housing.

So, Jake's Adventures will resume, complete with pictures and blog-posts of our nation's capitol.

I leave for D.C. on the 26th of May and return some time in Early August - a total of roughly ten weeks.
